There is a reason that the political debate has become more shrill. It is not due to the two worlds John Edwards talked about during the 2004 Presidential Election. It is the Republicans world of less government, low taxes and a strong military. Versus the Democrats finally behaving like the socialists they really are: bigger government, punishing taxes and a non-existent military. There is NO COMPROMISE between these two positions.
