Cap and Trade Passes House

I listened last night as the votes came in, down to the wire, passing the Waxman Markey Cap and Trade bill.  The Liars and Looters in Congress passed it by 7 votes I believe.

If this abomination makes it thru the Senate and to the Great Prevaricator's desk for signature, it should hence forth be known as the:

Foreign Oil Workers and Foreign Manufacturing Full Employment Act.

Or if you like a more crass title, Screw Americans Act.

Random Thoughts on Energy Policy

You want energy independence, build nuclear power plants and drive electric cars and trucks

=======================================================================================================

If I owned energy company and oil company, I would cut off supplies to all environmentalists. No power, no fuel. They want to us the live that way, they can start right now.

Then we can see how may environmentalists it takes to make a gallon of bio-fuel.
==========================================================================
The real definition fo the green policy, steal the green out of your wallet and put it in the governemnt's pocket.

=============================================================================

After a quarter-century of gas tax hikes, a ban on drilling for oil and a complete destruction of the nuclear power industry in America, I guess liberals can declare: Mission accomplished.

Punishing Employers Hiring Illegals

Your response to my "negative" on punishing employers hiring illegals i.e. "sorry" drives this response "sorry you don't get the big picture" do you.

As for punishing employers for hiring illegals, give me a break.

It's the governments job to make sure that illegals don't get into this country to start with, period.

As an employer, it is my expectation that people coming thru my front door for jobs are here legally, GOT IT. It is NOT MY JOB to do the government's job and figure out whether the person who came in applying for a job is legal or not.

To punish an employer who is hiring in good faith because the GOVERNMENT is sucking at their job is criminal. Punish the incompetent elected officials and government bureaucrats first, then we can talk about employers.

Celebrating Diversity

The solution is to stop talking about celebrating diversity and focus on integration and assimilation.

How's that for a bumper sticker?
"Stop celebrating diversity, it's devisive."

More Unionization

Yeah, sure let's get more companies unionized.
It's no accident the worst performing organizations are unionized: government, airlines, education and automotive.

Let's spread that wealth!!!!

Observations on the President's Early Days

1.  Offended the Queen of England .

2.  Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia .

3.  Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega.

4.  Kissed Hugo Chavez on the cheek.

5.  Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia .

6.  Announced we would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions.

7.  Gave away billions to AIG also without pre-conditions.

8.  Expanded the bailouts.

9.  Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.

10.  Doubled our national debt.

11.  Announced a termination of the space defense system the day after the North Koreans launched an ICBM.

12.  Despite the urgings of his own CIA director and the prior 4 CIA directors, released information on intelligence gathering.

13.  Accepted without public comment the fact that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two others withdrew after they couldn't take the heat.

14.  Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who quickly identified as "dangers to the  nation", groups including veterans of the military, and opponents to abortion on demand....and who ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used but instead referred to such acts as "man made disasters".

15.  Circled the globe so he could openly apologize for America 's greatness.

16.  Told the Mexican President that the violence in their country was because of us.

17.  Politicized the census by moving it into the White House from its Department of Commerce origins.

18.  Appointed as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion (from America to Cuba) of a nine-year old whose mother died trying to bring him to a life of freedom in the United States.

19.  Salutes as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life... and the next day announces members of the Bush administration will likely stand trial for "torturing" a terrorist who had played a part in killing 3000 Americans by  pouring water up their nose.

20.  Air Force One over New York City .

21.  Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to assure Europe that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims.

22.  Began the process of nationalizing the Auto Industry and the Insurance industry.

23.  Announced that for intents and purposes the Health Insurance Industry will be nationalized.

And he thinks he’ll be re-elected????  And you know what ... he probably will  because “our liberal press loves him".  1360 more days to go... God help us all!

From Every Real American to the White House

Letter to the President

April 17, 2009

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir.   Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America.  You are responsible to the citizens of the United States.  You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world.  Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe?  Are you brain dead?  What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?  Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country?  Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States?  This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage.  Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans.  Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the King of Saudi Arabia.  You don't show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the King of Saudi Arabia.   How dare you, sir!  How dare you!

You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey.  You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves.  What's the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses.  What do you intend to do about them?  Anything?  I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members  on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves?  I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus.  I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.  You haven't said anything about that.  Who authorized that?  I surely didn't!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses.  In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million,  not a bad take.   Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do.  We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.  I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities.  I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

Sincerely,

Every Real American

I Don't Know Robert A Hall but besides age we have lot in common

Robert A. Hall

I’ll be 63 soon. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired. Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth around” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy or stupid to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to “keep people in their homes.” Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the leftwing Congress critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them—with their own money.

I’m tired of being told how bad America is by leftwing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the religious freedom and women’s rights of Saudi Arabia, the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Gay people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela. Won’t multiculturalism be beautiful?

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor;” of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers;” of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery;” of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I believe “a man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin.” I’m tired of being told that “race doesn’t matter” in the post-racial world of President Obama, when it’s all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of US Senators from Illinois. I think it’s very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the emancipation proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less in an all-knowing government.

I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful. That thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress, that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his, that slammed Palin with two years as governor for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever.

Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching toFox News? Get a clue. I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures” we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.

I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don’t think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I’m tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I’m tired of illegal aliens being called “undocumented workers,” especially the ones who aren’t working, but are living on welfare or crime. What’s next? Calling drug dealers, “Undocumented Pharmacists”? And, no, I’m not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic and it’s been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I’m willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person who can speak English, doesn’t have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military. Those are the citizens we need.

I’m tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people then themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years—and still are? Not even close. So here’s the deal. I’ll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject captivity by the Muslims who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearlin in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we’ll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I’m tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers—bums are bi-partisan. And I’m tired of people telling me we need bi-partisanship. I live in Illinois, where the “Illinois Combine” of Democrats and Republicans has worked together harmoniously to loot the public for years. And I notice that the tax cheats in Obama’s cabinet are bi-partisan as well.

I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I’m tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn’t have that in 1970, but we didn’t know we were “poor...” The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I’m real tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I’m not going to get to see the world these people made.

To emphasize what deprivation is all about, let's start with the all the environmental groups, their legal support and their financial supporters.

Turn off their electricity (if I owned a power company and they had offices in my district, they wouldn't be buying power from me ever.)
Turn off their telephones
Turn off their cell phones
Stop selling them fuel for their cars
