What will it take to restore my confidence in the federal government?

What will it take to restore my confidence in federal government? Abolish the 16th Amendment. Pass the fair tax at 15%. Congress spend the next four years un-passing laws, programs, Federal Departments and mandates not consistent with the limited powers spelled out in the Constitution Article 1 Section 8.  No new laws for the next four years.

Harry Reid Buys a New Car

Senator Harry Reid goes to a local GM dealer in Washington, DC, with the intention of buying a brand new vehicle.

Harry looks around and finds a big expensive one he likes.  After going back and forth with the salesman, Harry settles on a price of $85,000.  Harry and the salesman go back to the office to complete the paperwork.  Harry works out a 10-year payment plan, and signs on the bottom line.

The salesman shakes Harry's hand and says, "Thanks Senator Reid, the car will be ready for pickup in 4 years."

Harry says, "What are you talking about?  Where are the keys to my new car?"

The salesman replies, "No, you don't understand Senator.  You make payments for 4 years.....THEN we give you the car.  You know, just like your health care plan."

Of Course We have a Two Class Society

We have the class that has to abide by ObamaCare

and

We have the class that has exempted itself from ObamaCare.

Note to Obama, if' it's not good enough for your family

It's not good enough for my family.

Necessary Common Sense and Good Judgement - What Happened?

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of folks such as those who made him their  president.    Author Unknown

Implement Operation Clean Sweep

It's time to implement Clean Sweep.

What's that, creation and implementation of a
      Contract FOR American Producers
                        and
Contract ON American Liars, Looter, and Moochers

Purpose: Force the Federal Government into compliance with the U.S. Constitution.

1.     Taxes

Elimination of all Federal personal and corporate income taxes and hidden excise taxes

Creation and Implementation of the Federal Sales Tax, only exemption is for food, utilities, transportation and shelter.

Purpose: You live here you have a tax liability. This eliminates the zero Federal tax liability citizen e.g. moochers and their entitlements

2.     Federal Department Cleansing

Elimination of all Federal Departments not spelled out in the US Constitution Article 1 Section 8 Federal Government enumerated powers e.g. Dept of Energy, Dept of Education, Welfare

Purpose: General Welfare means taxes collected by the Federal Government are to benefit all Americans, not stealing from one group of Americans and giving it to another group of Americans.

3.     Legislation

Congress will meet Jan thru March of each year to pass new legislation. Congress will meet April thru December to eliminate legislation in the Federal Register. If there is NO new legislation to be considered, Congress will not convene for those three months. Congress will meet April thru December eliminating un-Constitutional elements in the Federal Register until they are complete. When complete the goal is Congress meets once each year for ninety days period. Our country is not safe while Congress is in session.

Purpose: Implement items #1 and #2 above

Socialized ObamaCare, I vote for socialized legal care

What's wrong with this picture?  Congress, mostly made up lawyers, is voting to screw doctors with socialized ObamaCare.  Don't these mental giants realize while on one hand they are fighting tort reform with huge contributions to the Dems, on the other they are killing their golden goose by making all doctors federal employees.  Serves them right.

So where to from here?  Obviously, we need to socialize legal care.  The cost of legal care is going out of sight and I have a right to the best legal care available.

Vast Left Wing Conspiracy to achieve permanent power

Maybe I've got it.  Pass Obama-Care, which de-funds Medicare and institutes Death Panels.  What happens, the senior citizens segment of our population that grew up free and knows what "liberty" looks like are killed off by bureaucrats.

Modify the "No Child Left Behind' by eliminating objective standards of testing and institute points for attendance e.g. more dumbing down of the electorate.  Quit teaching the history of what the founding fathers based this country on.

Increase the percentage of people who pay no federal taxes and increase the number of moochers on the federal welfare.  Moochers and zero tax liability citizens soon out number producers at the polls, voting in liars and looters who confiscate producers’ property and give it to the moochers.

Ah, the working class, the folks that make things.  What to do about them, I know, levy high taxes on the companies they work for so the companies come to the conclusion it's cheaper to fire the local working class and hire working class folks in Brazil, Russia, India and China.  Turns our working class into more moochers.  Way to go local, state and federal tax authorities, send our work overseas.

Remember it's not the idle rich that are the problem, it's the idle poor.

Congressional Pay Raise

Well, well, well......surprise, surprise, surprise, Congress accepts their automatic pay increase again this year.  Does anybody else see anything wrong with this picture?

Need a raise, just vote yourself one.  That is one extremely bad case of Bravo Sierra.
Last time I checked, these folks are our employees and based on current performance should be fired for incompetency.  (You know voting for bills they haven't read and WON'T let us read until they are passed!)  They sure didn't do anything to earn a pay increase.

I have a recommendation.  They should take a monthly pay cut based on the percent of unemployment.  e.g. 10% unemployment, a 10% pay cut for that month.  Unemployment goes down, they get less of a pay cut.  Unemployment goes higher, their taxable income goes lower.

Healthcare and Tort Reform

Will tort reform ever be in the Democrat's health care bill?  Come on!

It finally dawned on me that the Democrats are actuality a political mafia and the Trial Lawyers are paying them millions of dollars in protection money.

I know, the lawyers call it a political contribution.

IPCC and Climate-gate

I hear they're telling a joke at the International Panel on Climate Change:
Knock knock.

Who's there?

Peer Review.

Peer Review who?

Your guess is as good as mine.

The Lawyers' Party

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers’ Party.

Barack Obama is a lawyer.
Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer.
Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
John Edwards is a lawyer.
Elizabeth Edwards is a lawyer.
Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).
Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.
Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:
Harry Reid is a lawyer.
Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.

President Bush is a businessman.
Vice President Cheney is a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
Tom Delay was an exterminator.

Richard Armey was an economist.
House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.
The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.
Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.

The  Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work,  who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers’ Party sees these sorts of  people, who provide goods and services that people want, as  the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers’ Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail?  Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals,  manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value  in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of  viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers.
Lawyers  solve problems by successfully representing their clients,  in this case the American people.
Lawyers seek to have  new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press  appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always  parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the  narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way  to govern a great nation.
When politicians as lawyers  begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans  as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become  “adverse parties” of our very government. We are not all  litigants in some vast social class-action suit.  We are  citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of  freedom
from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by  judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by  omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives.  America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important
decision for our next president is whom he will  appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the  law in America is too big. When lawyers use criminal  prosecution as a continuation of politics by other means, as  happened in the lynching of Scooter Libby and Tom Delay,  then the power of
lawyers in America is too great. When  House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our  efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become  crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers’ Party to  provide real change, real reform or real hope in America  Most Americans know that a republic in which every major  government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges  is not what Washington intended in 1789. Most Americans  grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at  the heels of our defenders. Most Americans intuit that more  lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our  economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that  change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who  already largely dictate American society and business.  Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by  hard work.

Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that  more lawyers with more power will only make our problems  worse.

The United States has 5% of the world’s  population and 66% of the world’s lawyers! Tort (Legal)  reform legislation has been introduced in congress several  times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as “spilling hot coffee on yourself  and suing the
establishment that sold it to you” and also to  limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits.  This legislation has continually been blocked from even  being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that 97%  of the political contributions from the American Trial  Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you  realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs  being so high!

What to do with your next stimulus payment

Sometime this year, Senior taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment.

This is a very exciting new program.  I will explain it using the Q and A format:

Q.  What is an Economic Stimulus payment?

A.  It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q.  Where will the government get this money?

A.  From taxpayers.

Q.  So the government is giving me back my own money?

A.  Only a smidgen.

Q.  What is the purpose of this payment?

A.  The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q.  But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?

A.  Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

·       If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China ...

·       If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.

·       If you purchase a computer, it will go too India .

·       If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala ...

·       If you buy a car, it will go to Japan .

·       If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .

·       If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

   1.  Spending it at yard sales, or

2..  Going to ball games, or

   3.  Spending it on prostitutes, or

   4.  Beer or

   5.  Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the US.)

So, be a real American and go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you picked up at a yard sale and drink beer all day!

The Obama Buck

Obama says "The buck stops here."  The only trouble is, we all know the buck isn't worth what it used to be.

Airline Security

In the wake of:

1.  a terrorist who was let on a plane even though he was on a watch list, fit the profile of a terrorist, and actually had the makings of a bomb on his person

2.  ordinary citizens who don't fit any profile and are not on a watch list, must remove their shoes and be felt up by TSA agents

we can only ponder what Shlomo Dror, an Israeli air-security expert, said in 2002:

"The United States does not have a security system; it has a system for bothering people."

EPA Ozone Levels

The EPA is proposing to lower the ozone levels again, obviously at great cost to the states.
Does EPA really stand for Enemy of the People?
